Fiorella Galvez

Fiorella Galvez has served with Paz y Esperanza since 2005. She is the co-founder and director of Andemos, Peace and Hope International's volunteer program that places volunteers throughout South America via Paz y Esperanza and its partner organizations. She has enabled over 300 people to participate in long and short term cross-cultural service learning experiences since the founding of the program in 2009. Furthermore, she has personally mentored 20 student team leaders in their journey of faith, cross-cultural proficiency, and leadership development. In the coordination of volunteers and the program administration, she serves as a bridge between volunteers and the Paz y Esperanza offices. Ms. Galvez frequently conducts presentations on Paz y Esperanza’s work in various contexts, including universities and churches in the USA, UK and Latin American countries. She is originally from Peru, and she currently she lives in Lima, Peru and is studying Psychology at the university UNIFE in Lima.

Nathan Gencarella

Nathan Gencarella joined the Andemos team in March 2015 after volunteering with the program in San Martín, Peru. He studied International Relations at Wheaton College in Illinois. His time as an intern in the Domestic Violence project impacted him deeply, motivating him to pursue a career in social justice centered around racial and gender inequalities. After graduating in 2014, Nathan spent one year working as a paralegal in immigration law with World Relief DuPage/Aurora before eagerly returning to Peru to work directly with the Andemos program. He currently lives in Lima and when not working can be found at local coffee shops buried in books preparing for the LSAT. He is originally from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
