Participant profile

We are looking for young people and adults who practice the essentials of a Christian life: seeking the kingdom of God and justice in all areas of human life, both individually and in community, which implies radically following Jesus Christ in love and humility, not conforming to the prevailing materialism, and demonstrating consistency between what they say and what they do.

We are also open to receiving people who do not identify with the Christian faith, but share the values of justice, solidarity, and respect for the cultures that characterize Paz y Esperanza´s family.

These young people are willing to be transformed individually as well as to be promoters of social change.

Our volunteers are those who seek to experience and grow in the true sense of a life of justice, mercy, and humility (Micah 6:8)

Education and Work Experience

Participants should have work or academic experience relevant to Paz y Esperanza’s focus and commitment in the areas of human rights and service of marginalized communities. In terms of Spanish language skills, we ask for basic to intermediate level for short term groups, and an advanced level for long term participants. ANDEMOS can put participants in contact with Spanish teachers for those who wish. This cost is not included in the program and will be covered by the volunteer.
