Youth Transformation in Santa Cruz

When energetic and creative high school and college students from around the world come together, big changes can happen!  For one to two weeks, you and your team can have the incredible opportunity to work in a variety of ways with and among Bolivian children and youth for the worthy cause of doing justice.

Paz y Esperanza Bolivia has a lot to share with you and your team about an effective response to deep societal problems, like the high rates of domestic violence and child abuse in Bolivia.  Through holistic care of victims, community campaigns, and the promotion of integral mission within churches, Paz y Esperanza is committed to justice and restoration for all people.  However, more than just tell you about their work, Paz y Esperanza Bolivia wants you to be a part of it!  Through artistic and recreational activities, your team, alongside Bolivian young people, can support a public awareness campaign for the promotion of fair and caring interactions.  In addition, your team will have the opportunity to support and participate in abuse prevention programs in local high schools.  Spend a week or two with friends and fellow students in Bolivia for a trip that will transform youth for the transformation of society!

As a team, you could be…

  • Support and participate in workshops in local schools to raise awareness of violence against children and adolescents, to educate on children’s rights, and to promote abuse prevention.
  • Work on minor home repairs for the families served by Paz y Esperanza.
  • Participate in the Campaign for Healthy Relationships through creative and recreational activities led by Bolivian adolescents in their communities.
  • Visit Paz y Esperanza ministry sites throughout Santa Cruz that work to end violence against women and children in a holistic manner
  • Participate in a recreational day for the children and adolescents served by Paz y Esperanza Bolivia to encourage, uplift, and interact with them and their families.

The actual activities of your team will determined according to the interests and experiences of the group and the needs of the office.  As a team, you will be accompanied by an Andemos team member throughout your time in Bolivia.  You will fly into and leave out of Santa Cruz.  For a detailed day-to-day itinerary or more information, please contact us

Thomas’ Story

“I have been on many mission trips, but mostly when I was younger and more awkward as I interacted with the locals.  Now, being 17 and having recently gone to Guatemala where I was more comfortable and interactive with the children there, I am looking forward to doing this in Bolivia.  I hope to continue to learn what it means to be unashamed of the gospel.  I don’t want to minister to the people of Bolivia and then go home and live the life I have been living; rather, I want to continue spreading the gospel and being intentional with people at home, like I was in Guatemala and hopefully will be in Bolivia as well.”
